The Ambassador Program is a multi-tiered marketing initiative that will assist local employers
recruit middle and upper-level executive/professionals to the Buffalo Niagara regional marketplace.
NMG and The Buffalo Niagara Partnership will jointly administer the program.
We want to attract and retain individuals to Western New York by promoting the quality of life
of our region. Our mission is threefold:
- Recruit: We have created postcards, posters,
and the Ambassador Action Kit--a quality of life brochure, heavy on graphic and photographic imagery
that captures the region's diverse assets. This kit is meant for use as a recruitment "container" to hold company specific information.
It is also expected to be used by realtors for relocation efforts. NMG will also provide Ambassadors, as requested by area companies, to individuals who are considering relocation
to the Buffalo Niagara region. The role played by the Ambassadors will be complementary, but independent to the interview process.
- Retain: The Ambassadors will follow-up and help the candidates or newcomers become integrated into the community and social network of Buffalo and Western New York.
- Entertain: An informal mixer called "Thursday in the City" is seasonally available to help jump-start the process on Thursdays from 5:30-8:00 PM in various Downtown Buffalo venues. Contact Deborah Lynn Williams at for more information.
To help facilitate this huge effort, we have received generous grants from the Oishei Foundation,
the Baird Foundation, and the County of Erie. Download our fact sheet in PDF format
